The Landing Point + Hooters + Chupitos Shots Bar, Singapore

I spent this Friday night going out with my schoolmates. Initially we wanted to go to 1-Altitude, but it was fully-booked and it did not accept walk-ins, so we went to The Fullerton Bay Hotel. At first, we wanted to chill at Lantern, but this rooftop bar was also full and the staffs could not make a rough estimation of the waiting time. Once again, we changed the place to The Landing Point, which was still a part of the hotel's dining outlets. By the way, I'm really sorry for the bad photos. The place was dimly lit and these photos were already edited to maximum exposure.

Frappe Green Tea - $14
It costs twice the price of Starbucks' green tea cream frappe, but it was a relief that it tasted twice better as well.

Truffle Fries - $14
The fries was erm, damn overpriced for such portion? It was insipid and I could not really smell the truffle. I can find better truffle fries elsewhere that does not cost a whooping $14.

Croque Madame - $28
The only parts I love from this dish were only the ham and the melted Gruyère cheese. For the rest, I have no further comment.

Chicken Satay (6 sticks) - $24
The satay tasted blah. The chicken meat was hard and the peanut sauce tasted horrible. Those satay hawkers in Indo sell much much better satay.

Oh, the view from where we sat was lovely. At 8pm, we could catch the Marina Bay Sands laser show from far.

Gotta admit, the view was unbeatable. but the food was nothing spectacular. Expect to spend a minimum amount of $50 per person, coz after all, this is a hotel restaurant which charges a ridiculously high price plus taxes.

After a short makan cantik sesh at The Landing Point, we cabbed to Clarke Quay to hang out. We picked Hooters as our next makan place. Originated from USA, one can enjoy the feeling of American dining experience here (and meet the famous Hooters girls, ahem).

Ice Lemon Tea - $4.80
It is quite pricey but thirst-quenching.

Rock Star Mojito - $14.90
I did not try this since I disliked mojito haha. It contains rum, mint leaves and fresh lime inside.

Hooters Lagoon - $13.90
This cocktail is made of vodka, blue curacao, calamansi juice and Sprite. The combination of fizzy and sweet drink was refreshing!

Cheese Fries - $6.90
They used curly fries, which was something different from the usual straight cut fries.

50pcs Chicken Wing - $62.90
6 of us shared 50 pieces chicken wings, so it was about 8 pieces for each person. For the flavors, we chose samurai, medium and hot. Beside the three flavors stated above, they also have two other flavors: 3 mile island (sour & spicy) and 911 (sour & spiciest). None of us dared to take the other two. My favorite was the medium wings. It might feel greasy but I really love the buttery flavor. The sweet teriyaki sauce in the samurai wings was nice as well. For the hot wings, it was actually not as hot as I had thought. It was still tolerable for my tongue.

The staffs were all attentive and friendly, although they did not always put smiles on their faces. I was totally hooked on their wings! I have been to Hooters 4 times before and never leave the place without having some wings inside my tummy.

Our triple date was not over yet - after Hooters, we continued to Chupitos Shots Bar. Many recommend this place as one of the must-visit places at Clarke Quay, since this bar is said to be the first shots bar in Singapore. Their variety of shots is also on the list of 10 Insane Singapore Food Challenges. Besides shots, they also have varieties of libation, cocktails, and bar bites.

Irish Flag - $10
Made specially for St. Patrick's Day, this shot consists of three different layers (midori, Baileys and whisky) with 3 different colors, resembling the Irish flag.

Milo Godzilla - $12
For the faint-hearted who are not courageous enough to take strong shots, I suggest you to try this. Yes, it is made of Milo with whipped cream on top! It tasted more chocolatey than alcoholic, and I'm pretty sure you will love this and you will want to order more.

Amazing Race - $35
If you are up for some fun with your friends, try this game-shot. Each person should finish one line of shots (3 shots in a line) with a straw given, but no hand should be involved. The loser will get the punishment of taking that deadly transparent-colored shot.

Brain Freeze - $78
Yes, it was the most expensive menu we had that night. It consists of 12 Daiquiri shots that can make your brain freeze in a second.

Front: Crouching Tiger - $12
I did not notice what this concoction was made of, but it tasted sourish and refreshing.

Back: Budweiser - $50 (bucket)
What more to say?

We also ordered Flaming Lamborghini ($28 - regular size) and Green Tea ($12), but they were not pictured. The Flaming Lambo looked wild with flame (drink it while the flame is still lit up). The green tea shot, which came in pair, was not bad - it was still mild to me (or maybe because I love green tea?).

Overall, the place is really vibrant, the staffs were energetic and prompt as well. Thumbs up for the creativity in making intriguing concoctions! The shots may include some fire, naughty props and tricks. Looking at their menu, the name of the shots are mindblowing indeed (Dead Baby, Listerine, Bloody Tampon, Satan's Water), but the question is, are you brave enough to try them?
