[Closed] Skinny Pizza + [Outlet Closed] Just Acia, Singapore

My friend and I got 1.5 hours to kill before the movie began. As we both had already eaten lunch, we decided to get some light bites at Skinny Pizza. There were not many patrons that time, I reckon only one table was occupied.

Nachos with Bolognese, Sour Cream & Cheese - $12

The tortilla chips came in a long-straight-cut form, unlike usual triangular tortilla chips used for nachos. My friend was bewildered to see that the bolognese sauce was too little. He asked for extra bolognese, only to know that it cost $3 (the $3 additional charge was not stated in the menu, how could they just come up with this price?). The nachos tasted okay for me in general, but my friend said GV Cinema's nachos tasted way better than this.

Truffle Fries - $9

I always like the aroma of truffle - nothing could get better than this! The fries came in a small-looking tin box, but the portion was actually enough for 2 persons to share! It was crispy with sprinkles of salt and truffle oil.

The service was friendly (maybe because the place was empty that time). We got ourselves plain water to drink, which was free of charge, and the staff promptly refilled our drink. I will gladly be back to try their pizzas.

After our Fast & Furious 7 movie, we settled our dinner at Just Acia Marina Square. If you are looking for a cheap eatery in town, Just Acia is the right choice. Imagine it, from merely $5.90, you will get a set meal which includes free-flow drink and ice cream, how cheap it can be?!

Free-flow drink selection includes plain water, milk, soft drinks, tea and coffee. You are free to keep on refilling your glass until you feel bloated!

Deep Fried Chicken Set - $9.90

This set meal came with a bowl full of rice, miso soup and kimchi. Low price does not mean they compromise the quality. In fact, my fried chicken was tasty and the portion was generous too (they gave 6 big fillets of chicken). The miso soup was too salty for me though.

Here comes the best thing: free-flow ice cream! They had around 5 flavors of ice cream that time: chocolate, taro swirl, blueberry swirl, raspberry swirl, strawberry. We decided to scoop every flavor (it is self-service by the way). Yummy! The only thing I dislike is that they do not provide one scoop for every flavor. Instead, there were only 2 scoops, which people would put on a bowl of water after using (which is not really hygienic for me). With this method, I cannot imagine if they have durian-flavored ice cream, I probably give the dessert part a miss coz I'm friggin' sensitive regarding durian haha. Oh ya, it would be better if they also provide soft-serve ice cream lol #fussycustomer.

Just Acia is a place I always patronize whenever I'm on a money-saving mode. With such economical price, no wonder this place is always crowded, especially with youngsters. For your info, they have a rule of not to hold the bill for more than 30 minutes, which means within that time span, we need to pay our bill at the counter, and after that we are free to enjoy our meal as long as we like (just be considerate that there are people queuing to get a seat).
