Foresee by Angie's, Surabaya

Foresee by Angie's is a new cafe on Jl. Kayoon. It is housed on the second floor of Angie's Cake Boutique — by its name, we can tell that Foresee is the expansion of Angie's Cake Boutique.

It is a bit tricky to find this place, but if you are coming from Jl. Pemuda, just try to find a house like this on the right side of the road. By the way, don't you think the house look aesthetic? #housegoals

Equil Sparkling Water - IDR29,000
No need further description haha.

Ice Peach Tea - IDR29,000
It was refreshing but I needed stronger peach flavor.

Ice Latte - IDR32,000
The iced latte I had successfully perked me up with its acidity. Good job.

Ox Tongue Sambal Matah - IDR53,000
I do not eat ox tongue so I cannot describe this one (tongue has bouncier texture than meat right?). But my brother said the sambal matah was overly spicy.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio - IDR52,000
Dunno why but I had been obsessed with aglio olio lately. The staff said the spiciness was not adjustable but he assured me it would not be so spicy. Okay lah. Portion-wise, it was too small that we Indonesians would say, “ini mah porsi makan cantik doang” (lol dunno how to translate but it roughly suggests that we should not expect big portion in fancy cafes). I found the dish a tad greasy but the seasoning was somehow addictive. The spiciness was still tolerable — glad that the chili did not overpower the garlic taste.

Salted Caramel Popcorn Cake - IDR38,000
The cake was spongy and moist while the salted buttercream on top tasted addictively good.

It is not difficult for me to like this cafe at the first sight since I'm a sucker for places with white facade and interior. Overall, Foresee is a good option if you look for tranquility in the heart of Surabaya.
