Ho Kee Pau 和记包, Singapore

This dim sum place is located within a walking distance from Aljunied MRT and a few bus stops ride from my school. We decided to eat here after figuring out that 126 Dim Sum was closed that day.

Iced Milk Tea - $1.50

Standard, nothing to shout about.

Siew Mai - $3.60 (4 pcs)

The size was quite big and the texture was dense.

Har Gao - $3.60 (4 pcs)

The thickness of the skin was just right and the shrimp filling was yummy.

Char Siew Pau - $3 (3 pcs)

The char siew filling was decent with slightly spicy taste. The bun was a bit too floury for my liking.

Herbal Jelly - $2

My friend thought it was a kind of beverage but no, it was jelly haha. She found it too bitter for her liking and ended up leaving it unfinished.

Overall, this place serves decent dim sum, not the best in quality though. They also have several take away outlets inside shopping malls if you want to try without going all the way to Geylang.
