JeJamuran, Yogyakarta

JeJamuran, Yogyakarta JeJamuran is a restaurant in the outskirt of Yogyakarta city that serves vegetarian food which is made of mushrooms. Based on my cousin's recommendation, my family decided to stop by JeJamuran for lunch after visiting Borobudur Temple.

Es Teh Manis
Mediocre, no further explanation.

Fu Yung Hai - IDR16,363
It tasted pretty much the same as the usual fu yung hai with mushrooms replacing the meat.

Sate Jamur - IDR11,818
This dish turned out pretty addictive. It is hard to believe that it was vegetarian satay coz it tasted exactly like chicken satay! Thumbs up for the lip-smacking peanut sauce too!

Asam Manis Jamur Portabella - IDR13,636
It is deep fried portobello mushrooms with sweet and sour sauce. The mushrooms were crispy and blended perfectly with the sweet and sour sauce. Too bad the portion was too small haha.

Tumis Jamur - IDR13,636
It was spicy as it contained green chili inside. I was not really fond of this dish.

JeJamuran is a place you cannot miss when you visit Yogyakarta, especially if you are a vegetarian. Even myself who is not a vegan enjoyed eating here. The price is super reasonable - my whole family of 5 spent less than IDR150,000 only. Although it is located relatively far from the city, JeJamuran is obviously worth a visit!
