Rumours, Bali
If you like bar-hopping in Bali, you probably would know this venue called Rumours. At night, it transforms into an energetic bar with live DJs and affordable drink. There are also a pool table and darts to play. On a Saturday night, I arrived at Rumours around 10pm and the waiting line had been formed by that time. My friend drove a car and he had to use the valet service since the parking staff said that the regular parking lot was already full. The place was packed with both locals and foreigners. When we approached the front door, we were told by the waitstaff that the waiting time would take 15 minutes - turned out we waited longer than that. The staff offered us to sit on the sofa inside while waiting and he said he would call us once there was an empty seat. I think this waiting list system is kinda disorganized though. Okay, at least it did not take us half an hour to get a seat.

Lol I know it is weird to order heavy meal in a bar but who the heck cares, I was damn hungry that night. I got myself Caesar salad, which contained lettuce, poached egg, croutons and bacon. The lettuce tasted too bitter for my liking. The salad was quite filling but it tasted so so, maybe because I was too used to eat St. Regis' super nice caesar salad haha ahem.
Peach Martini - IDR35,000
When it comes to drinking at Rumours, you will get exhilarated to see the menu. Could not believe this peach martini was priced at only IDR35,000, damn cheap leh! I tell you, Rumours is the perfect place to get some cheap drink, even cheaper than buying bottled drinks at Circle K next to it lol. Oh, and after 10pm they have this promotion where you can get whiskey and vodka (I forget what else) at half price. Don't say I never share good stuff ah.
Smirnoff Ice - IDR20,000
We both continued with green apple Smirnoff after finishing our first drink. It weirdly tasted like 'sari apel' (apple juice) haha. We did not quite like it and left it unfinished.
Anyway, something 'interesting' happened while we were enjoying our time. There was a guy who got drunk and suddenly collapsed with his mouth full of foam, and his friends then carried him to a car. But what is funny was that he was smiling while being carried lol. He must be having so much fun that night haha so remember to drink safe ya.
Overall, Rumours is the right place to get cheap, high quality booze and food. The never-ending crowd at night clearly explains the popularity of this place. Definitely a place to go for an after-dinner drink sesh! The staffs were attentive and quite friendly. The place was a bit too dark (isn't that how a bar supposed to be like?) and stuffy. People can smoke freely here, so as a non-smoker I felt rather uncomfortable here since I could not stand cigarette smoke.
