[Re-branded] Dijual Eatery, Surabaya

Dijual Eatery, Surabaya Located in the parking area of ITATS, Dijual is a relatively new eatery with 'one price' concept. Yes, you heard it right. All items here are sold at a fixed price of IDR25,000, be it food or drink. The location might be a bit unnoticeable from the main road, but the place is nice for casual hangout or doing works. Speaking about the name, Dijual literally means 'being sold', and it would be interesting to know the story behind its name lol.

High Tea (Amyra Lychee) - IDR25,000
They have 6 tea flavors that you can choose from. The tea leaves are put inside test tubes so you can smell them first before deciding which one to get. The hot tea is served in a cute vintage cup, giving you the feeling of London-style afternoon tea that is worth IDR25,000 only.

Lychee Yakult - IDR25,000
The combination of Yakult and lychee was so refreshing, perfect for the hot weather nowadays. Plus point for the huge serving too!

Quesadilla Spicy Tuna - IDR25,000

The quesadillas could have a little bit more time on the pan. However, the dish was presented pretty nicely. The quesadillas were also served with a bowl of simple salad for a healthier touch.

Spaghetti Alfredo - IDR25,000
The spaghetti was the star among all things that we ordered. The pasta was cooked to perfect al dente texture. The sauce was balanced, rich and creamy but not cloying. The sunny side up egg with runny yolk added more flavors to the whole dish.

Nasi Woku Ayam Aroma - IDR25,000

If I were asked to recommend one dish here, it would be Nasi Woku Ayam Aroma. The grilled chicken was moist, paired with brown woku sauce that was savory and matched perfectly with the meat. The dish was served with popcorn for a refreshing change - it was unique and turned out pretty good.

It is somewhat unfair to put a judgment of good or bad based on one visit, but I feel satisfied with almost everything here. The venue is cozy, service was pleasant, and waiting time for the food needs a slight improvement. Above all, the foods are all good and super worth the price. Hopefully this is not just my first timer's luck. With so many new places around, they definitely need to maintain the consistency and have the 'it' factors to keep customers returning back.
