AADK Coffee & Eatery, Surabaya

Located in the city centre of Surabaya, AADK (Ada Apa Dengan Kopi) is a cafe that serves es kopi susu kekinian and its friends, as well as some light bites and rice bowls. It also makes a good stopover for bikers to rest and sip a cup of refreshing drink after a tiring trip.

They have a super cool rooftop! It has a background overlooking the CBD, so you can strike a hypebeast pose here, hashtag citylife. One thing that feels strange is that they will call your name when your orders are ready to be picked up. Though they announce this via speaker, there is a chance that you will miss out the call when you are busy chatting with your friends or hanging out in the rooftop area.

Es Kopi Gula Aren - IDR16,000

The coffee was okay-ish, nothing memorable but still a good thirst-quencher amidst the heat.

Es Kopi Latte - IDR16,000

Same situation with the former - while pleasant, the taste lost out to other cafes with similar drink.

I highly recommend you to come here at night so that you can dine outdoors while enjoying the vibe and city lights in the background. It was scorching hot when I came there at 10am, even. The food and drink were not pricey at all, totally worth paying for the ambiance.
