Signora Pasta, Malang

There is one charming restaurant in Malang that I would really like to recommend y'all: Signora Pasta. It is located on a quieter side of the city centre, behind Kayutangan Church. You can sit back, relax and enjoy some good food in a homely atmosphere.

Signora Pasta may not be your typical hipster hangout - instead, the place looks humble. Upon entering the restaurant, a sense of nostalgia set in and I could not help but relish in the comfort it offered. It was essentially a real blast from the past, not sure if they had changed its decor since it first opened its door.

Iced Lemon Tea - IDR15,000

Simple iced lemon tea, great for thirst-quencher.

Fusilli al Forno - IDR45,000

It was a simple yet delicious dish. You will love indulging in the tasty meat paired with pasta and creamy sauce. There was not much meat but the tomato flavor was intense. An excellent dish overall.

Spaghetti al Pesto + Smoked Beef - IDR44,000

This dish has proven that a simple thing that is done well is the best. The pasta was nicely cooked in al dente texture, and you really could not go wrong with those savory smoked beef slices. I will be glad to order this again.

Overall, I enjoyed my lunch here. The warm vibes made it a great place to chill over authentic Italian pastas or wood-fire pizzas. Food was thoroughly enjoyable, the service was wonderful as well. This is really a (not-so-hidden) gem that warrants my future visits, and the quality explains their existence through the test of time. Expect no gimmick, just great food and possibly the most authentic pastas around.
