[Closed] Arbite, Singapore

Arbite is the name of a cafe in Serangoon Garden area. It is situated on the second floor of a shophouse. They serve my favorite all-day breakfast menus (these menus are really served all day, so that we can have breakfast menus for dinner as well). Arbite is located on the second storey of a shophouse and it is not very elderly-friendly or wheelchair-friendly as there is no elevator available, only staircase.

Soup of the Day

We topped up $6 to get a drink and soup of the day, which was chicken and corn soup. The staff was so thoughtful to give us 2 spoons for us to share the soup. We both agreed that the soup tasted like smoked sausage but there was no sausage inside haha.

Steakhouse Truffle Fries - $7

There are 3 types of fries available: truffle, tom yum and salted egg yolk. Tom yum was definitely crossed out from my list. It was a battle between truffle fries and salted egg, and finally truffle fries was chosen. I did not really like thick cut fries - it would be better if they used shoestring fries. But the fries were dosed with generous amount of truffle oil. The texture was lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Arbite Breakfast - $18.10

My friend's big breakfast came with a huge plate. It consists of eggs, bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, pork Cumberland sausage, sauteed mushrooms, toasted brioche and pommes noisettes. He got the baked beans replaced with extra pommes noisettes since he disliked baked beans haha. The egg that initially came in form of soft-boiled egg was also changed to scrambled egg for an additional $1.10. The bread came with kaya jam and butter too. The sausage was super big and juicy. It was a really filling brekkie overall.

Eggs Benedict - $13

My eggs benedict was reasonably priced for just $13. It came with toasted brioche, shaved smoked ham and fresh greens. For the sauce, you can opt between classic or gochujang Hollandaise, which I chose the former. I could say it was one of the best eggs benedict I had ever tried. Affordable yet yummy!

It was an enjoyable 'night breakfast' at Arbite haha. I like the fact that they serve the breakfast menu all day, unlike most cafes that serve it at certain timing only. Will definitely give this cafe a second visit!
