Smuzi Smoothies Bar, Sidoarjo
Sidoarjo truly has no shortage of cafes lately, especially Kavling DPR area where there are plenty of cafes to choose from. One of the latest to join the hype is Smuzi Smoothies Bar which primarily sells smoothies (duh). Doesn't the name sound inviting? Hey, you get to enjoy relatively healthy drink in an Insta-worthy space! Especially with the effin' hot weather these days, which often gives me occasional smoothie craving (not sure about you though lol).
You will notice light pastel colors from the moment you enter the place, pretty right? It is easy to spot from the lane as well. The design incorporates wall murals and some plants here and there, giving you tons of photo opportunity.
Purple Berry - IDR24,000
As the name suggests, this smoothie consists of two kinds of berry: blueberry and strawberry. The sourish taste was pretty strong and not artificial, I could tell it was chock-full of berries. The drink was also very refreshing and not overly creamy. Overall, it was a refreshing respite from the sweltering afternoon sun.
Well, smoothie is undoubtedly very welcome for our warm climate, and Smuzi did a good job with their formula — I could taste the fruits quite distinctively. However, I'm not sure if I will visit this cafe again anytime soon, considering the far far location. Perhaps you can give it a try if you happen to be in the area :)
