Pawvilion Dog Cafe, Malang

As there is no dog cafe (yet) in Surabaya, I got so excited to visit Pawvilion Dog Cafe, the first dog cafe in Malang. Fyi, dog cafe is quite different from dog-friendly cafe, as dog cafe has menus for both human and dog and they allow visitors to bring their own dog to the premise. However, I'm not sure if Pawvilion allows outside dogs - you may confirm this with the management in case you would like to bring your dog there.

If you don't like dogs but you still want to eat here, fret' not coz Pawvilion has no-dog area too. There is a minimum order of IDR30,000 per person on the weekend. We sat in 'dog area' where at least 10 dogs are free to roam around and approach every guest who are seen eating. You can interact with them as much as you like, but take note that feeding the dogs with your human food is prohibited. These doggos are well-trained and they are really bubbly!

Meet Loki, the forever-sleepy Siberian Husky

Forgot his name haha

It looks like a sheep omg

Angelo here!

Hello Milo!

If you want to feed these furry creatures, you can purchase the dog food here (items are listed on the menu). The dogs always look out for guests with dog food haha.

Left: Cold Taro Latte - IDR25,000
Right: Cold Lime Tea - IDR14,000
The drinks were served in unique glass bottles. The serving size was satisfying, sufficient to keep our thirst quenched until we left. As for the lime tea, it was refreshing but the lime flavor could was not quite there.

Poppuri Chicken - IDR26,000
I did not expect much from their food since it was a dog cafe after all. The popcorn chicken was on the bland side and the melted cheese on top did not really help elevating the taste.

Chocobull Pawding - IDR35,000
Doesn't this look so cute? It looks so real too omg I was damn hesitant to eat it. The dish is actually just a normal chocolate pudding plus biscuit crumbs as garnish. It made a nice pair with the pudding.

Lemona de Creme - IDR35,000
Did not try this, I think it's just a thick lemon pie.

Posing with this happy family (and Loki finally woke up hehe)

It is hard not to fall in love with these furballs. You can spend hours playing with the doggos since there is no time limit here (as long as there is nobody waiting for seats outside). The staffs and dog trainers were friendly and they gladly helped us gathering the dogs for photo-taking haha. Overall, this is a place you should head to if you ever need to de-stress. Forget about good food and just come for the dogs. Playing with dogs is therapeutic, trust me.
