[Closed] Dazzling Cafe 蜜糖吐司專賣店, Singapore
Originated from Taiwan, Dazzling Cafe at OrchardGateway is the second Singapore outlet after the first one at Capitol Piazza (2018 update: this place has been closed down). Ever since its opening in mid 2015, I had seen people posting photos of its legendary honey toast in social medias, and finally I got a chance to try it. I had heard comments from bloggers that it was overrated, but many feedback that its way too overpriced and overrated, but I was still curious of their its attractive-looking interior and honey toast.
When my friend and I came on a Friday afternoon, there was no queue spotted. A staff greeted and ushered us to a vacant seat at a corner. The cafe looked so pretty in pastel color and the seats were comfortable too. Besides the highly-raved honey toast that comes in a variety of flavors, Dazzling Cafe also serves appetizer and main course. We only had a portion of honey toast to share as we were going to have dinner later on.
Plain water is free-of-charge and refillable here. The glass looks elegant and it was served on a cute Dazzling Cafe signature coaster.
Hazelnut Chocolate Honey Toast - $19.90
I was delighted to have this beautifully-presented honey toast served right in front of my eyes! Yup, it is such a visually pleasing, Instagrammable sight. You can either have the toast in crispy or normal version, whereby we chose the latter. After we were done with the photo-taking, the staff then 'destroyed' the toast by cutting it into smaller bites, making it easier to enjoy. The combination of all elements was just perfect! The toast was crispy outside and soft inside with thick Nutella filling. The toast came in share-able portion, perhaps this explained the rather expensive price-tag.
Dazzling Cafe is not a place to be missed if you are in a hunt of Instagenic cafes. The preparation time of the honey toast could be a little slow, but rest assured it would be worth the wait. The prices are on the high side so this is obviously not a place I can patronize frequently haha.
