Eiger Coffee, Surabaya

Eiger Coffee is located on the second floor of Eiger Adventure Store. There is a wall climbing arena at the backyard, which makes a good photo background. Don't get me wrong, aside of photo background it also functions as a real wall climbing when they hold an event.

The cafe was surprisingly quiet, perhaps not many know its existence (hopefully this post can help making it more known hehe). It is kinda like a quaint neighborhood cafe. The balcony area looks cozy with two sofa swings. If only the weather was breezy, I would not mind sitting on the swing and laze the afternoon away.

Caffe Latte - IDR30,000

There was no proper food there - only a few kinds of cake and bread - so we just ordered their cuppa. Despite being a small cafe, the coffee drinks are taken seriously here. Beans are sourced locally from all over Indonesia. The latte was good - the espresso was well-extracted and it had chocolatey notes.

Flat White - IDR30,000

The flat white turned out to be a glass of hot milk with espresso shot on the surface. It looked kinda cute. As a non coffee expert I could say this cup of joe was smooth. If you would prefer your coffee brewed differently, pourover and cold brews are offered here too.

Cartenz - IDR24,000

The Cartenz was some sort of iced mocha with unfortunately, weak chocolate taste.

Overall, the drinks at Eiger Coffee were pleasant. It's a pity that the ambiance is not 'adventurous' enough, considering they carry the Eiger brand name. If they could make it more thematic, I'm quite sure they will draw more crowd coming in.
