Curious Palette, Singapore
One day, my friend and I wanted to chill in a cafe, but since the very beginning we had no intention to eat heavy meal as we had eaten dinner before. We then headed to Curious Palette, a cafe located on Prinsep Street near ERC Institute. There is no front signboard, so it could be easily missed if you are not watchful. Do look out for small chalkboard with 'Curious Palette' handwriting on it.
Curious Palette is opened by the same folks behind Strangers' Reunion. Some bloggers say that their menus are kinda alike - I have no idea about it as I have not been to Strangers' Reunion yet, but I know Strangers' Reunion is a very popular cafe. It seems like Curious Palette has followed its popularity as the place was really crowded when we came.

A jug of water and empty glasses are available on every table
Truffle Fries - $13.90
The truffle fries was great. The truffle aroma was present and it came with a heap of parmesan. Oh, that truffle aioli dip was fantastic by the way.
Berry Ricotta Hotcake - $14.90
Finally, I got the chance to try the ever-popular ricotta hotcake. Firstly introduced by Top Paddock cafe in Melbourne, this visually-pleasing hotcake had then become a hit in Singapore with Paddy Hills being the pioneer. Unfortunately, Paddy Hills is located quite far from my place and the hotcake there costs a whooping $19. I was glad that Curious Palette had cured my curiosity by having ricotta hotcake on the menu at relatively cheaper price. The staff told us that it would take 30 minutes of preparation time, which was quite shocking, but it looks pretty indeed. The hotcake was super fluffy and it matched well with the maple syrup, vanilla bean ice cream, crunchy pumpkin and sunflower seeds and berries. I warn you, do not eat this alone - it is meant for sharing. It is going to be sweet AF!
Overall, Curious Palette a nice place to hang out and chill. The food was yummy and Instagram worthy as well. Even though the cafe looks tiny from outside, it is surprisingly spacious inside and has the hipster feeling. The staffs were very welcoming, courteous and attentive. The price here is on the steep side though - definitely not a place to visit often, at least to me haha.
