[Closed] Kimchi Korean Restaurant 김치, Singapore

In the mood for Korean food, we went around Suntec City Mall looking for Korean restaurant and we spotted two: Guksu and Kimchi (turned out that they were actually under the same management). We picked Kimchi since Guksu's menu is dominated by Korean hotpot and ramen, while Kimchi offers Korean BBQ and other hearty Korean food. Unfortunately, the BBQ was not available that day.

We were given a glass of Korean corn tea as welcome drink

Parang - $13.80
Kimchi has introduced their new cocktail selections: flavored cocktails. We picked the one named Parang, which was made from blueberry. It tasted refreshing and there were some fresh blueberries inside.

As a standard Korean meal practice, we were given banchan (side dish). Kimchi is a must haha! The soup contained egg bits inside. It was sort of peppery, but I love it.

Bulgogi Dolsot Bap - $15.70
I was relieved that they put half-cooked sunny side up instead of raw egg. The portion was super filling, they gave generous amount of sliced beef. I love the bulgogi marination, it was so flavorful and the meat was tender as well.

Overall, Kimchi offers authentic Korean food at reasonable prices. After payment at the counter, we were given complimentary cup of coffee. If you want to bring some Korean food home, they also sell Korean snacks and drink like banana crackers, soju and makgeolli.
