Skugga House, Sidoarjo

Skugga House is one of the latest additions at the ever-growing Kavling DPR. For sure, this new opening brings even more choices to this hangout district. They have a diner-style area if you would rather beat the heat and stay indoor.

To me, what really stands out from this place is none other than the mini skatepark. You can bring your own skateboard and skate there (don't forget to be respectful and order something first before you play). Even if you don’t skate, you can make use of the area to shoot some hipster pics.

Aren Coffee - IDR25,000

The coffee had a generic taste profile that was catered more towards the masses. Understandable, considering Skugga was not a specialty coffeehouse.

Skugga Platter - IDR45,000

Since we could not decide what to have, we just went for the Skugga Platter. It comprised of beef sausage, chicken strips, French fries and onion rings drizzled with BBQ sauce. I noticed that the beef sausage they used ain't from cheap brands as it was meaty. For the rest of the fried stuffs, I had no further comment haha.

Generally, my experience was not bad but not impressive either. There was really nothing much going on for them besides the Instagrammable premise, which in my opinion, was only worth one visit. To sum up, the 'revisit' factor is not strong for this place.
