Cafe Monstera, Batu

If you are looking for a great hangout spot in Batu that are not (yet) touristy, do check out Cafe Monstera. It is situated in a secluded side of a village which is a little out of the way, but definitely worth your effort. You can watch the tutorial of how to get there in their IG story highlight — it may be helpful, especially if you go there by car.

Here, you can find tranquility and take some time to relax and delight in the small town charm. Batu's temperature surprisingly dropped to 15°C when I came, such a rarity that I had never experienced for the past 10 years or so.

Cafe Latte - IDR20,000
I requested the coffee to be served in a takeaway cup, thus I did not expect any latte art or whatever. The coffee tasted like a generic coffee machine-made one. For such price who am I to complain.

Mix Fries - IDR20,000
No pic for this coz it took sooo long to make thus I decided to just dabao it lol. It was really just a mix of fries, fried wontons and sausages, nothing special.

At Cafe Monstera, you can enjoy the alluring mountain view while sipping on a cup of tea or coffee. All menus are pocket-friendly, I believe nothing is priced above IDR50,000 there. It was truly a sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and I would love to be back for another leisurely visit.
