[Closed] Elgin Avenue, Bali
Elgin Avenue stands right next to INGKA, but it is easy to miss out because the front signage is small. The space is not very big for a cafe, but it still has the cozy ambiance which looks good for photo-taking. The menu is more towards British-Australian style, such as Melbournian oven baked egg and English rocket ship.
Iced Mocha - IDR32,000
The iced mocha was great. It was adequately sweetened and tasted chocolatey. My only gripe is perhaps the glass size is too small!
Elgin Crispy Egg Benedict - IDR70,000
Elgin Avenue's egg benedict is different from the normal cafe-made ones. Here, the poached eggs are coated with breadcrumb, so there would be an additional crispy sensation. Brilliant! The egg is served on sourdough with ham, smashed avocado and Hollandaise sauce. This dish was not bad in general, just that I found it weird having egg benny with avocado (I forgot to tell the staff that I wanted to have it without avocado).
Overall, Elgin Avenue could be an alternative to chill out with your friends. Not just suitable to hang out, the food was good in quality as well. It is quite common to find cafes serving Australian-style breakfast in Bali, and if you want to have this kind of breakfast, Elgin Avenue is worth trying.
