Sunday Folks is a cafe specializing in waffles with soft-serve, owned by the folks behind Creamier Ice Cream. Sunday Folks is located in Chip Bee Gardens Holland Village, a nice place to eat in an atas surrounding (tbh I did not expect the location to be that desolate lol). It is always a good idea to have some ice cream on a hot sunny day, even though my friend and I had already had our lunch in less than half an hour ago lol. Anyway, this cafe is so popular among youngsters that we needed to wait for a few minutes to get a seat. Do take note that you may want to expect at least 15 minutes of preparation time (which could be longer during peak hours) as the waffles are freshly baked upon order.

Waffles with Ice Cream (regular size) - $12.90

Every waffle is paired with strawberries, blueberries, maple syrup and chocolate hazelnut sauce. Instead of the normal round-shaped, the waffle is square-shaped, making it smaller and less filling haha. We had regular-sized waffles that came with 2 stacks of waffle. As for the soft-serve, we chose the Madagascar Vanilla flavor. I really like the soft-serve. I could detect genuine vanilla taste as it had real vanilla beans in it.

You can add some toppings to go with your soft-serve waffle; however I feel the toppings are exorbitantly priced. Standard toppings cost $1.20 while the premium ones cost $1.90. We added ROYCE' Nama green tea chocolate, which was under premium toppings, and it came in a mere 5 tiny pieces. How pathetic. But that is because ROYCE' chocolate is expensive and high quality, no?

Who knows that having soft serve on waffles can be so pleasing? The only downside of having waffle with soft-serve is that it melts very quickly. The price here is on the steep side, so Sunday Folks is definitely not the first place I would have in mind when I crave for waffle. The waffle alone without ice cream could easily cost $8 - I would say it is pricey considering you can get one full round of waffle plus ice cream at the same price in other ice cream parlours. One thing to add, Sunday Folks is located far from the city centre, but I can guarantee your journey will be worth it.
