La Plancha, Bali
Who has never heard of La Plancha? This Spanish-themed bar is indeed very well-known among both local and foreign tourists. This place can be identified with the colorful umbrellas and beanbags along the coastline. So, last Monday when I got my off-day, I went to La Plancha to chill while enjoying the sunset view of Double Six Beach. La Plancha was damn crowded even though it was Monday. We then asked one of the staff there and by chance there were 6 vacant beanbags. But to get those beanbags, there is a minimum order of 1 food and 1 beverage per person. We agreed to that regulation since none of us wanted to wait any longer lol.
It looks so beautiful even at night. See that splash of colors?
For such price, frankly speaking this is not very worth getting given the average taste. It lacked sweetness and too diluted, could not taste the fresh strawberries. The presentation looked very plain also.
Papas Fritas - IDR45,000
It was written French fries in the menu, but we were given potato wedges haha. Anyway, it was delicious and lightly-salted. It also came with mayonnaise and tomato ketchup on the side.
Calamares a la Andaluza - IDR60,000
It was served with Thai sauce which turned out to be bottled sambal Bangkok haha. The serving was rather big to share.
Chicken Wrap - IDR65,000
To me, this was the most worthy dish since it was served with French fries (which also turned out to be potato wedges lol). The chicken meat was generous but somehow I could not detect any pesto sauce. And they put in too much rocket leaves!
We went here for the experience and the view only - no expectation was put too high for the food. The place was full of good vibes, the music was fun too - perfect ways to end my day. I would love to be back next time - not for the food, but like what I have said before, I will be back for the stunning beach view!
