Random Eats: July - September 2021

Item: Wine Coffee Latte - IDR28,000 (grande size)
Location: Saisho Coffee (Bonnet Supermarket, Surabaya)
The drink tasted unique as I could taste real hint of wine. No worry, it will not make you tipsy haha.

Item: Mandarin de Nana - IDR45,000
Location: Kollabora (Jl. Raya Kupang Indah, Surabaya)
It was a mix of coffee and orange, which tasted unusually good. The orange actually gave a sourish taste, adding a efreshing touch to the drink.

Item: Delta - IDR24.000
Location: Nol Cold White (Jl. Flores, Surabaya)
Taking a break for coffee-based drink, I ordered the Delta, which was a mix of hibiscus, soda and mix berries. Never thought it would be a good thirst-quencher though. The flower’s tanginess was quite sharp, blending well with the fizzy soda and sour berries.

Item: Alpha - IDR24,000
Location: Nol Cold White (Jl. Flores, Surabaya)
This concoction was made of espresso shot, lemon, caramel and cola. Sounds bizarre eh? And unfortunately, the drink really was not to my liking. I thought it was a tad too lemony, overpowering the caramel and coffee flavours.

Item: Es Yoes - IDR12,000
Location: Jokopi (MERR, Surabaya)
I loved how the ice cream tasted exactly like 'es kopi susu' that I usually drank. The sticky gula aren sauce could get too sweet if not stirred properly though. There were also rice krispies sprinkled over, which added a nice crunch to the ice cream.

Item: Paket Sate Gurami - IDR22,000
Location: Ayam Cobek Suroboyo (Ruko RMI, Surabaya)
Don't judge by its unappetizing appearance. In fact, this fish satay had become my recent addiction! It was also super cheap - for just IDR22,000 you get two sticks of satay, eggplant, fried tahu-tempe, sambal and rice. The marination was good, meat was tender and the crispy-smokey outer was just to die for!

Item: Osaka Mura - IDR23,000
Location: Kopi Konnichiwa (Gwalk Food Garden, Surabaya)
It was a mix of Yakult, lychee and butterfly pea. It also contained nata de coco inside. I noticed that the Yakult flavor was a little dominant here.

Item: Cinnamon Sugar Croffle - IDR11,000
Location: Pacca (Tunjungan Plaza 3, Surabaya)
The croissant was delightfully flaky and toasted perfectly. To me it tasted exactly like churros but fluffier.

Item: Choco Bombs - IDR21,000
Location: Ela! Greek Doughnuts (Royal Plaza, Surabaya)
Ela! is finally here in Surabaya peeps! At half of the 'Luku' price (if you know what I mean), I think it is very very worth getting. Thought it would be airy and hollow, but it turned out pleasantly chewy. The Choco Bombs seemed like a safe choice for everyone. Just don't get too greedy if you are trying to keep tabs on your sugar intake haha.

Item: Crunchy Biscoff - IDR29,000
Location: Ela! Greek Doughnuts (Royal Plaza, Surabaya)
I particularly loved the Crunchy Biscoff with both melted and crushed Biscoff bathing the donuts. Well, anything Biscoff always works with me hehe.
