Arena Coffee & Roastery, Batu

I chanced upon this small cafe on my way back to Surabaya. It sits next to a petrol station near Jatim Park 3. Surprisingly, Arena is also home to a coffee roastery, whose premise is located just beside the main cafe. This container-based cafe also has a rooftop on the second floor, which offers lush mountain view (and mountain breeze).

Talking about the menu, it seems that they focus more on its coffee, as there are only a few snacks and pastas available. This is understandable though, considering Arena is also a coffee roastery; furthermore the menus are all affordably priced.

Greentea - IDR20,000
My order of Japanese green tea with milk turned out to be satisfying enough with the right degree of sweetness, but it could definitely have stronger matcha flavor to make it even better.

Since I did not order coffee, I could not justify if Arena was a good coffee shop, but I think this place should gain more attention. Indeed, it is not one of those cafes worth traveling to (especially if you come from Surabaya), but it can be a go-to cafe if you stay around the area.
