Udders, Singapore

Udders? I'm not talking about mammary glands, but it is an ice cream brand. It has several locations in Singapore, whereby I frequent the Upper Thomson outlet the most. Udders is always crowded every time I go there, suggesting its popularity as youngsters' hang out spot. Udders serves many flavors of ice cream - you will be spoiled with over 30 different flavors to choose, of which are divided into 3 variants: Classic, Premium and Connoisseur. Different pricing applies to each variant, with Classic being the cheapest and Conoisseur the most expensive. There are Asian-inspired flavors like Botak Coconut and Gila Melaka, while the most unique one is liquor flavors like brandy, whiskey and vodka. The liquor ones are restricted for 18+ only, but if you are really curious to try, you can always ask your friend who is legal to buy so that you can try haha.

Awesomely Chocolate - $3.60 (single scoop)
This Awesomely Chocolate literally lived up to its name! The dark chocolate flavor was intense without being too bitter.

Left: Horlick Ball - $3.60 (single scoop)
Love love love the Horlick Ball flavor! It had strong Horlick powder flavor which combined nicely with the Malteser balls. It is definitely something I would gladly come back for.

Right: Rum Rum Raisin - $3.60 (single scoop)
The rum raisin was seriously no joke. The rum was really strong. I would not recommend it to first-time liquor takers.

Clockwise from the bottom: Chocolatey Kit Kat - Awesomely Chocolate - Vanilla Beanz

Chocolatey Kit Kat - $3.60 (single scoop)
It tasted so chocolatey (hence the name) and there were Kit Kat chunks inside.

Vanilla Beanz - $3.60 (single scoop)
Meanwhile, natural vanilla pods were used to make this vanilla ice cream, which resulted in richer taste of vanilla.

Waffle with Cookies & Cream Ice Cream - $7.10 (single scoop)
My friend and I also shared a plate of waffle. To break down, the waffle costs $3.50 while a single scoop of classic ice cream costs $3.60. It was not bad, the lukewarm waffle had a chewy texture and crispy outer part. The ice cream, which had real hand-crushed Oreo inside, was equally enjoyable with the right level of milkiness. Although cookies & cream is a common flavor, the one at Udders was well-executed.

Overall, I would say Udders is a great place to chill out with friends after a hearty meal. I love to eat here in both rain and shine. Moreover, it is located within a short bus ride from my campus, so it is very accessible to reach whenever I'm craving for ice cream.
