Roppan, Bali

When I first stepped into Level 21 Mall, Roppan was the first eatery I spotted. I then decided to have some light bites there while waiting for dinner time to come. Roppan is actually the abbreviation of Roppongi Pan, also can be referred to 'roti panggang' (means 'toasted bread' in Indonesian). Roppan offers various toast with unique toppings. There are also some Japanese desserts, bubble drinks and even hot meals.

Taro Milk Tea with Pearls - IDR27,000 (small size)
The taro milk tea was nice, not too sweet with mild taro flavor. The pearls were not really chewy though.

Box of 4 T-Pan Toast - IDR38,000
We came in a group of 4 so we got the box of 4, just nice. These are the 4 flavors we opted for (in clockwise direction):

Magura
Super love! The matcha flavor was strong and it was a nice pairing with ogura and crunchy almond flakes.

Choko Forest
Average. It tasted like black forest cake on top of a toast.

Torimayo
This was my least favorite. The chicken was not crispy enough and the mayo was mixed with tomato sauce, which I disliked.

Toriyaki
The toast on its own was already soft and a little bit sweet. It tasted exactly like chicken teriyaki with toast replacing the rice haha.

Overall, Roppan is one of the best places to have some sweet and savory toasts. The price is considered affordable as a piece of T-pan toast comes at under IDR10,000. The place is also spacious and there are many seats available indoor and outdoor. Oh, I miss Roppan already! Please come to Surabaya soon!
