Legoland Malaysia Trip

My big family and I had a short weekend escape to Legoland Malaysia in Johor Bahru (JB) last week. Legoland can be reached from Singapore in approximately 2 hours by bus (including the immigration process). Ticket price for adult (12-59 years old) is RM 175, for child (3-11 years old) and senior (60 years old & above) is RM 110. Hmm, slightly more affordable than USS.

Legoland was super packed that time. Long queues were always spotted in almost every attraction. My favorite ride was Project X. It is a kind of roller coaster that will drop you from 18 metres high. I'm not a thrill-seeker, but this ride looked super fun so I braced myself :')

One of the most interesting attractions here is Miniland. Miniland displays the miniatures of Asia's famous landmarks, such as Petronas Twin Towers, Angkor Wat, Singapore Flyer, Taj Mahal, Great Wall, and Tanah Lot. All are made from Lego bricks. Wow! There is nothing much to shop in Legoland. I did not buy anything for myself as there was nothing interesting to me. The Lego toys might be attractive for kids though, even my 22 years old cousin bought it to add to her collection lol.

Getting tired from all the playing, we had lunch at Market Restaurant, which featured Asian and Western food selections from chicken rice to lamb steak. The concept is like a food court, where we have to queue in our favorable food stalls, pick up our order, fill our cup with drink, and pay at the cashier. Our meals came in set with mushroom soup and soft drink.

Signature Roasted Chicken - RM25
The roasted chicken was super big. It was drenched with BBQ sauce, served with french fries and veggies (tasted really weird, like not fresh). It tasted just decent, and it was quite hard for me to cut down the chicken with those plastic utensils haha.

Fish & Chips - RM23
Look at the very plain presentation haha. The fish was quite big, but it tasted average.

Roasted Beef - RM38
The sliced roasted beef was drenched in barbeque sauce and served with mashed potato and greeny things (no idea what they were, figs maybe?). The meat was juicy and flavorful, it paired well with the sauce.

There is also an attraction called Build & Test. Here, we can design Lego models as we like, and test whether they are strong enough or not using an instrument that shakes like earthquake. I'm sure kids will love this place!

On the left was Eiffel Tower, made by me with 25% similarity lol

Overall, Legoland is a must-visit place, ideal for family fun. Don't forget to put on sunblock, wear a cap and sunnies, as the weather was burning hot there!
